Handmade paper is my chosen medium for expression and experimentation. I majored in textiles fabrication in my teaching degreee and began papermaking in 1984. I have been professionally trained (1989-1996) with Charles Turner, paper chemist/botanist/artist in handmade paper. 20 years development, experimentation and exhibiting in paper making, woven tapestry dyeing and fabric painting.
As a Secondary Art Teacher and experienced Community Artist, I have over the last 15 years taught a a wide variety of groups Adult Education, Secondary School, disabled, Youth at Risk and across a wide range of learning experiences in the arts: papermaking, embossing, collage, Suminagashi/ marbling, silk painting, drawing, tapestry weaving, handmade paper lampshades.
